Holistic Cancer Care

Naturopathy has emerged in the last twenty years as one of the adjunctive therapies for Cancer Care.

Naturopathy can help conventional therapies like Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiation, Immunotherapy and Hormone Therapy become more effective.

Naturopathy advocates adding changes in the diet, supplementing with vitamins and minerals that improve the patient’s sleep, give energy while their bodies are healing.

A patient does not lose anything by adding natural medicine because it is non-toxic and gentle.

It is best to see a practitioner though.

Why?

Because Naturopathic doctors have the resources to check for a lot of things, like drug-herb and supplement interactions, etc.

Naturopathic doctors can assess nutritional deficiencies and guide patients to a better and more effective whole body natural treatment options, dietary changes and recommend high quality supplementation.

If you want to learn more about the role of Nutrition in Cancer, you can read about it in this post: 80% of adult cancer patients are malnourished.

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu Massage In Huntington Beach 2

Many conditions are particularly suitable for Shiatsu treatment, including:

  • Headaches
  • Migraines
  • Acute and chronic back pain (particularly, muscular origin)
  • Sciatica
  • Muscular stiffness
  • Injuries
  • Some forms of arthritis
  • Rheumatic complains

Shiatsu has an effect on internal organs of the body as it works through flow of energy throughout the body, thus, it can have a role in the treatment of digestive and intestinal disorders, circulatory, respiratory, and reproductive problems.

The unique and ancient Japanese healing art of Shiatsu, which means “finger pressure”, emanates from the same Oriental tradition as Acupuncture and Acupressure.

Instead of needles, however, the hands, thumbs, fingers, elbows, knees and even feet, are used to massage and stimulate the meridians – or energy pathways – which flow through the body, thereby harmonizing the body’s vital energy known as Ki or Chi.

In a Shiatsu session the practitioner uses pressure with his or her thumbs, fingers, palms, and sometimes elbows, knees, and feet, to induce deep relaxation and a feeling of well-being.

Receiving Shiatsu Massage is deeply relaxing (patient can easily fall asleep during sessions) and yet invigorating, leaving the receiver with a feeling of tranquility and a sense of being in touch with every part of one’s body.

Shiatsu is performed on a patient who is fully clothed in comfortable wear.

Vitamin B12 Shots

November 23, 2016 by Dr. Masha 2 Comments

Many people are deficient in vitamin B12.

An injection (shot) is done into a muscle (not painful) – it takes only less than 10 minutes for a visit.

Doing a vitamin into a muscle allows it to bypass the gastrointestinal tract and be absorbed into the blood stream right away bringing instant benefits.

The following conditions can be particularly responsive to Vitamin B12 injections (shots):

-heart disease

-neurocognitive disorders

-coordination problems (ataxia)

-fatigue

-peripheral neuropathy

-during and after stomach acid reducing medications

-after gastric bypass surgery

-vision loss

-fertility challenges

-after chemotherapy, radiation, etc

-many other conditions

Here is a short article about B12 deficiency.

Many people will feel energized after the shot.

It helps during flu and cold season. It can also boost an immune system during other immunocompromised situations.

If are interested in scheduling vitamin B12, please call 714-924-5592 or email drmashand@gamil.com.
